It had to happen, I think we've all secretly known that the inhabitants of the natural world ain't as passive or as stupid as we'd like to imagine them to be.

A few years back I listened to an interview of an elder from a traditional Afrakan tribe. He said that he was troubled by the animals because they no longer spoke to the villagers as they had for thousands of years...... there was no longer any possibility of friendship between human & animals!

This elder told us this loss means great suffering for us, because without their wisdom, medicine, protection & love; being "human" has far less value.

Whoops... I did it again. Took a little nap, had a few dreams, and worlds were born. Planets spun and cooled. Continents rose and fell. And civilizations clashed and united.

Actually, it's usually quite good fun, but I also dreamed I was you, and in that dream, for a spell, I didn't remember I was also The Universe.

It was quite frightful, alright, just about scared me to death... until, as you, I slowly remembered who I was, and in those waking moments, it was as if the earth shook, the seas danced, and the skies rejoiced, almost as much as myself; as if they were waking up too, and it was the most beautiful, sublime, intoxicating rush of pure joy, I think I will ever know.

How I wish I could tell you more, but like a farmer eager for the new crop, any rush to harvest would spoil the yield. Besides, words would utterly fail me.

July 24 - Aug 10 marked our celebration of the Nubian-Khamite New Year 6243!

Marked by the annual heliacal rising of the star Spdt(Sirius), when the ancient "mother/father star" can be clearly seen sharing the dawn sky with our present Sun.

It iz a time of celebrating re-unification - Smai Tawi - of new & ancient knowledge; of ordinary time-bound reality with infinite consciousness; of ancestral lineages broken by time, war & migration......It has been 6243 years since the last re-unification of the ancient Afrakan nation of Tawi documented by the pallet of Narmer in 4240 BC. Tawi encompassed the lands surrounding the entire stretch of the Hapi (Nile) river, in three states.....

This year for me it's been a time I was homesick for my Kra Family in NYC led in celebration this year and every year by my Baba, Sen Ur Heru Ankh Ra Semajh Se Ptah with our Sen't Urt Kaitha Het-Heru. Gotta get the kinks worked outa that bi-location trick! Then again, I got to watch my 7yr old son conquer his limits and teach himself to ride a bike appropriately on the UrthDay of Set - Ntr of chaos, fear & initiation......So it works out ;~)
